Matches HCA-0.61 on MLOSS

Modifed and extended the reporting of topics (using -v and -V options).
Some minor bug fixes (normalising alpha estimates, estimating beta, ...).

Matches HCA-0.5 on MLOSS

The first multi-core version for hca, but tca is still in development. The multi-core and the diagnostics require more work for tca. The tag is done to match the MLOSS release.
