Is this an official Zscaler product?

No. This is an independent community project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or supported by Zscaler, Inc. For official Zscaler support, please contact Zscaler directly.

Is it safe to use?

The app stores credentials securely in your system's keychain (macOS Keychain, Windows Credential Locker, or Linux Secret Service). However, as with any third-party tool, use at your own risk.

Is it open source?

Yes! The source code is available on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license.

Features

Which APIs are supported?

All 8 Zscaler APIs: ZIA, ZPA, ZDX, ZCC, ZIdentity, ZTW, ZWA, and EASM.

Can I use this for automation?

The app is designed for interactive exploration and testing. For automation, consider using the APIs directly with scripts or official SDKs.

Does it support batch operations?

Yes! You can import CSV files for bulk API calls. Go to Request → Batch Import.

Technical

What languages are supported?

8 languages: English, Swedish (Svenska), German (Deutsch), French (Français), Spanish (Español), Japanese (日本語), Chinese (中文), and Farsi (فارسی).

Where are my credentials stored?

  • macOS: Keychain Access (search for "ZscalerAPIClient")
  • Windows: Credential Manager
  • Linux: Secret Service (GNOME Keyring, KWallet)

Can I export my settings?

Settings are stored in:

  • macOS: ~/Library/Preferences/com.yeager.ZscalerAPIClient.plist
  • Windows: Registry
  • Linux: ~/.config/yeager/Zscaler API Client.conf

What's the difference between PyQt6 and PySide6?

Both are Python bindings for Qt6. The app uses PyQt6, but PySide6 also works. They have nearly identical APIs.
