Hopefully, this is not too controversial.

I've noticed that in #203 @slorber moved and added a bunch of newsletters and reshuffled the order of the section. React Digest (I'm the author) has been publishing steadily every week since 2015. Peter Cooper's React Status has been around since 2016 publishing high quality content. Both of them have been on the list for at least the last 5 years.

Personally, I'm not the biggest fan of Awesome React Newsletter as it seems to be automated but it's been around for a while too and should keep its spot.

Also, I've removed a few inactive or broken newsletters in the section. Let me know if you'd prefer to split it into separate PRs:

The order matters as people discover newsletters that way. If there are inactive ones they tend to give up after going through a few.

Thank you!

Agree that:

  • order matters, and I reshuffled it
  • removing the inactive newsletters is useful
  • Awesome React Newsletter is automated and low quality

I still believe I should appear first because even if it's not the oldest, objectively my newsletter list is now bigger, growing faster, and maintaining a higher open rate than any other React newsletter (React Status is still bigger but that won't last. It has lower open rate and grow slower).

I put a lot more effort into it (3 full days/week), and feel the community appreciates it more in general as the canonical resource to stay up-to-date on what's happening in the React ecosystem.

I made my case, and will let the op compare and decide:

🤨

Two years ago you moved two biggest and most active newsletters at the time to the bottom of the section. And now you're using size as an argument.

We all put a fair bit of effort into publishing every week.

Meh. This is not cool mate.
