Onikakushi Voice and Graphics Patch v5.6.0
Hello, everyone! I'm back with yet another release, this time fixing (and adding) a lot of stuff.
As you probably already know, we released not so long ago a big update that added lipsync and many other features. This update was really huge and we're still polishing it to make the experience better overall.
This new update requires you to reinstall the full patch. I promise this is the last time you will have to do this. We fixed many issues with the voices and added a ton of sprites to make the game even closer to the PS3 release. If you think installing the patch again is a pain in the ass, why not try our new installer? Click here to download it. You can actually use it to install any Higurashi patch we have made! Yes, everything in the same .exe. Technology sure is amazing.
Changelog
- Fixed a lot of errors in the scripts
- Fixed even more errors in the voices and spectrum files
- Added lots and lots of new sprites
- And a lot more small tweaks and fixes
Our thanks to @orian34 who is going through every chapter trying to make it even closer to the PS3 release. Keep up the amazing work!
Onikakushi Voice and Graphics Patch v5.5.2
This update requires a new graphics (PS3 and MangaGamer) and voices update. You can find the downloads and tutorial on the wiki or you can just install the new patch using the patch installer (also on the wiki).
This is a cross-release with Onikakushi, Watanagashi, and Tatarigoroshi!
Hello!
This was a really, really long ride. I honestly never thought we would get this far. First of all, I would like to thank P-Chang for his efforts into paving the way so we can have the foundation of this update: the lipsync. Unfortunately, P-Chang is not with us anymore (in a good way, I hope he's healthy!) but his work was not wasted. We resumed from where he left off, fixed a bunch of bugs and added some new internal workings thanks mainly to @DoctorDiablo and @IdealPersona. This update also releases the long waited UI update that has been in the oven for quite some time, thanks to Inochi's effort (in all honesty I forgot his handle here). This update has also been quite a challenge for @enumag and me, and I'm very thankful to him for keeping track of everything and not letting the whole thing go down after P-Chang left the group. I'm amazed by all the work we managed to do in such a short time. My thanking section also extends to @Norgus, who finally came back to the group and has been such an amazing person to the team. There are a lot more people who deserve my thanks, but let me save them for the next post, right?
Buuuuuut, we're not done yet. There's a lot of bugs to fix, and also make the releases for Himatsubushi and Meakashi as well. Everything's going according to the plan, thankfully. We're also getting ready for Tsumihoroboshi, which should be coming by the end of April/start of May. At this point, I accepted we'll never find some time to catch this season's anime. Not me, though, I've been slacking off so my Anilist looks pristine.
Anyway, enough with the jokes. Again, all my thanks to our amazing team, everyone who helped bug catching, killing, squashing or whatever you want to call it and of course, to all the people who supported us along the way. There's still a lot we want to do!

Onikakushi Voice Patch v0.9.0
This is just a smaller, simplified version of @Cnnctr's fork. Beware of bugs!
Onikakushi Voice and Graphics Patch v4.0.1
This is a small patch to correct an issue where the patch didn't work in the DRM-free version of the game. This update doesn't offer any improvements to the Steam version of the game, so there is no need to update your patch if you are already running the previous version.
Changelog
- Fixed an issue where the game crashed at start if you installed the patch on a DRM-free version of the game
Onikakushi Voice and Graphics Patch v4.0.0
This is a quite big update, coming to all chapters right now. We did some hacking on the engine and created a bunch of stuff to make the patching even easier. One of the cool things we managed to do with that is to change between NVL and ADV mode with a single button. Really cool, isn't it? Of course, this wouldn't be possible without the work of @P-Chang and @enumag. This is officially the best version of the patch!
Check out our wiki to see the new installation instructions. We recommend you to start fresh with our installer or see the new steps in the wiki to properly update your patch.
Please remember that this patch will break your saves! Do not update unless you really want to.
Now, it's time for the changelog.
