Vision

• Being the definitive source for what works and what doesn't.

Goals

• Identify executive leaders who can be a part of the foundation (stakeholders)
• Contextualize and objectively critique research that is out there (without being too negative). Need to figure out what is working and we should continue with.
• Study and interview hurricane forecasting community about how they got where they are.

Suggested Mission Enable improved land use and transportation decision-making, by supporting the improvement and effective use of travel analysis and forecasting for the public benefit.

Context: The mission isn't about "the industry". Our mission is about decision-making.

Vision A set of tools that are built on solidification of research that are demonstrably valuable, credible, open, optimized, tractable, easy to use, and manageable.

Mission Facilitate improved and defensible methods and tools to assess outcomes of transportation policies and investments, and provide education and guidance on their use and application

Vision Be a trusted source for identifying appropriate tools that provide the necessary and relevant information for decision-making.

Objectives

• Fund research that is motivated by MPO needs rather than academic objectives.
• Serve as a clearinghouse of information and tools/analysis needs for practitioners.
