Automatic code counting and folder integration!

The Project Tracker started out as a simple to-do list. A way to manage your programming projects without many features that set it apart from already-existing tools. Today's update is aimed at changing that! We're packing in two new features we're sure every developer will love.

Automatic code counting

Ever wanted to see how many lines of code you've put into your project? Well now you can, and it doesn't require a calculator. In the all-new statistics area of your project (accessed by clicking on the settings button), you can setup automatic code counting to quickly add up every line from every file you choose.

Folder integration

We know this one will save you some time. Navigating through File Explorer to your project is a hassle. Whether you've set up a shortcut to your folder or a location on your desktop, it always takes a few clicks to get to your project - until now! In version 2.4 you'll notice a new folder icon near the settings button. Click on that and set your project folder. Now, whenever you click on that folder icon, it will open File Explorer and immediately take you right to the project folder. Talk about efficiency! If your project folder ever changes, you can reset it in the statistics tab.

If you already have a version of the Project Tracker installed, when you launch the application you should be notified of the available update.

Version 2.2

Key foundational steps towards the future of the Project Tracker!

Today's update will be completely unnoticed and there will be no change to the user's experience and that's the idea. As the Project Tracker has expanded, its reliance on outside components has grown. These would usually be updated every time a new release is made. However, the developers bringing you the Project Tracker decided it would be best to quietly upgrade the key components allowing for an all-around smoother experience. This new update system will make sure you have the latest bug fixes immediately, that everyone is on the latest version, and that you won't see the update notification unless you're getting new features.

Version 2.1

Critical bug fixes!

In version 2.0 there were a few critical bugs that would sometimes prevent users from installing or launching the program. We've rooted out these issues and fixed them in this otherwise small update. If the Project Tracker was already running fine for you, you shouldn't notice any changes in this update. We still encourage updating, however.

Version 2.0

The second major release for the Project Tracker!

Welcome to the second major release for the Project Tracker! We've made huge strides since the first release only eighteen days ago. These features include a new design, significantly better performance, a better installation experience, better support for all screen resolutions, project icons and programming language selection, and much more.

If you're running the previous version, v1.6, you'll notice that we added the ability to rename projects, check for updates, and see what the next release will entail. We're super excited to get you on this latest update so we won't keep you waiting any longer.

Version 1.6

Window resizing and other minor fixes!

Hey everybody, today is a smaller update but one that will be very appreciated. We added the ability to resize your window in order to achieve optimal viewing at any screen resolution. Along with this update is a few minor performance improvements, a smaller overall program file size, and some improvements to the installer. Now when you install the program you can see the download progress and it shouldn't lag or crash anymore.

Version 1.5

A brand new Project Tracker experience!

Welcome to the new Project Tracker! With the first version out just a few weeks ago, we got ready to push towards version 2.0. We're proud to announce that today we're officially halfway there! We spent weeks designing a new interface for our users and refining the entire program for performance and visual appeal. You'll be greeted with an all-new logo, display, and now project icons! That's right, each project can have its own language-specific icon. We're still experimenting with icons for each project so stay tuned for more information about that.

While this update is a brand new experience, there are a few things that had to go temporarily and a few things you'll want to look out for in the next few weeks for an even better experience. Those include:

1. Project duration - this feature was taken out of version 1.5 but will be back soon.
2. The ability to rename projects - this feature was also taken out but will be back soon.
3. Window resizing.
4. A settings menu.
5. Much much more!

We can't wait for you to try this new update and see what we've been working on for the last few weeks. Stay tuned for even more features coming very soon!

Version 1.2

Fixes for item adding bugs!

Version 1.2 fixes a few large bugs that had to do with the tables for each project, specifically when adding new items. Version 1.0 had an issue where adding new items to each project would sometimes create empty values. These have now been fixed.

Major Release: Version 1.0

The Project Tracker is officially out of beta!

The Project Tracker is a project management software application tailored to software developers allowing them to easily track each project they might be working on. Quickly add, edit, or delete existing projects and monitor each project's progress, duration, percent completion, and more!

Features available in this release:

1. Track your projects easily and see them all in a list view.
2. Quickly see and edit the errors, features, and comments for each project.
3. View your automatically updated progress report for each project.
4. Use the stopwatch functionality to monitor the duration of each project.
5. Much more coming soon!

2. Search functionality.
