Options panel ploppable options
This is a description of the functionality provided by the 'Ploppable options' tab of the mod's options panel, selectable through the in-game options menu; these options apply to Ploppable RICO ploppable buildings.
With this option selected, when the player attempts to manually bulldoze (demolish) a plopped RICO building, the game will ask the player for confirmation before demolishing the building.
Allow plopped RICO buildings to be auto-bulldozed and built over (e.g. when building roads or placing buildings)
When this option is selected, when the player attempts to build over or through a plopped RICO building (with a road or other network, or with a building or other ploppable), the game won't permit the construction (displaying the message 'Space already occupied!').
When this option is deselected, RICO ploppable buildings will be automatically demolished when being built over.
Note that the use of Anarchy mods is not affected by this; enabling Anarchy will enable roads/buildings/etc. to overlap without auto-demolition (as per normal Anarchy functionality), regardless of this setting.
This enables you to override the placement cost for the building with a calculated amount based on the number and level of households or jobs supported by that building.
- Cost per household A simple base cost of this amount per household supported by the building
- Additional multiplier per household Increases the above cost by this percentage for each building level above 1. For exammple, a level 5 building would add four times this percentage on top of the base cost per household.
- Cost per uneducated job Each uneducated worker position supported by this building will add this much to the building's cost.
- Cost per educated job Each educated worker position supported by this building will add this much to the building's cost.
- Cost per well-educated job Each well-educatedworker position supported by this building will add this much to the building's cost.
- Cost per highly educated job Each highly educated worker position supported by this building will add this much to the building's cost.
Due to some fundamental game design decisions, natural disasters (from the Natural Disasters DLC) don't work well with Ploppable RICO buildings; these buildings aren't able to be rebuilt after disasters, and will also cause rescue teams to get stuck (which can be game-breaking). To avoid these issues, Ploppable RICO Revisited prevents Ploppable RICO buildings from being collapsed by natural disasters, but you can change this by toggling this option.
NOTE: if you allow Ploppable RICO buildings to be collapsed by natural disasters, then you will need to manually demolish and rebuild them afterwards, and be aware that (until you do so) your rescue teams might get 'stuck' in the wreckage (and won't be able to move on to other buildings).
