The Moodle - Cohort Automation plugin is designed to automate the addition of users to cohorts within Moodle by comparing a profile field of a user with a regular expression. By automatically adding users to a cohort that is associated with a course the users are automatically enrolled in that course.

More information on the cohort functionality within Moodle is available here.

Please note that this plugin has been developed for version 2.5.x of Moodle. It may work on other versions but this has not been tested.

The initial version of this plugin has been developed by NetSpot Pty. Ltd. with the kind contribution of the Teaching and Learning Centre at the University of Canberra.
