HydroSight provides two approaches for modelling a groundwater hydrograph:
- Transfer function noise models simulate the head as a weighting of input time-series forcing data (e.g. precipitation or groundwater pumping) or time-series derived from the input forcing data (e.g. soil free drainage). This type of model is the most powerful component of HydroSight.
- Exponential smoothing models simulate head using only the observed hydrograph (i.e. no input forcing data).
