1. No Expectation of Privacy

By using this Bot, you acknowledge that the server it operates on is public. All interactions occur in a public environment and are visible to other users. There is absolutely no expectation of privacy while using the Bot. All messages, commands, and interactions are considered public and may be logged as necessary.

2. Data Controller

The Bot is not independent of Discord and operates solely within the Discord platform. As such, the primary data controller for any user interactions and data processing is Discord. By using the Bot, you agree to Discord’s data policies, which govern the handling of user data.

3. User Registration

All users of the Bot must go through the Discord registration process. This registration is necessary to use the Bot, and it ensures that all interactions adhere to Discord’s community standards and privacy guidelines.

4. Age Requirement

Companion is intended for users who are at least 13 years old. No one under the age of 13 is permitted to use the Bot, and there are no exceptions to this rule. Any accounts found to violate this age restriction will be permanently banned by Discord. By using Companion, you affirm that you are at least 13 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

Data Collection

The Bot does not collect or store any additional personal data beyond what is processed through Discord. All interactions with the Bot (including commands, messages, and other data shared) are logged in line with Discord’s policies and may be subject to moderation or legal requirements.

5. Data Usage and Sharing

All data collected by the Bot is used strictly for:

• Enhancing the functionality of the Bot.
• Moderating the server according to Discord’s policies.
• Fulfilling any legal requirements.

ALL content shared with the Bot is processed by external third-party AI services to enable its functionality. These services may include, but are not limited to:

• OpenAI
• Cohere
• TogetherAI
• Any other relevant public AI service.

By using the Bot, you explicitly consent to the sharing of your interactions with these third-party providers. Discord, as the primary platform, also holds responsibility for user data and its processing.

6. Public Server Environment

This Bot is used solely on moderated public servers. All interactions are governed by Discord’s community standards, and users should be aware that all communications are publicly accessible. There is no guarantee of privacy for any content shared with the Bot.

7. Data Retention

The Bot retains logs and interaction data in accordance with Discord’s policies and as necessary for the Bot’s functionality. These logs may also be retained for moderation and auditing purposes. Any data stored is subject to Discord’s retention policies.

8. Security

While the Bot takes reasonable precautions to secure data within its control, users should understand that all interactions occur on a public server, and there is no absolute guarantee of security. Users should be mindful of the content they share publicly.

User Rights and Consent

Since the Bot operates under Discord’s consent standards, any requests for data deletion, modification, or retrieval must be made directly through Discord. The Bot itself does not process personal data beyond what is shared through Discord.

Users may exercise their rights to access, delete, or modify data by following Discord’s processes, as described in Discord’s privacy policy.

10. Changes to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. Any changes will be announced within the public server(s) where the Bot operates. Continued use of the Bot after such changes will indicate your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
