須知 Caution

1. 以下教程適合全新安裝「Rime 粵語拼音方案」嘅使用者。

   This tutorial only applies to fresh installations.

2. 如果你本身用緊 Rime，請參閲進階安裝教程。如果你唔知咩係 Rime，或者你用緊 Rime 但係淨係想保留「Rime 粵語拼音方案」，可以使用下面呢啲步驟。

   If you are already using Rime, please refer to our tutorials here. If you have no idea what's going on, feel free to read on.

3. 如果遇到任何安裝問題，可以睇其他安裝方式換另外一種裝法試下，亦都可以去 Telegram 用户組尋求協助。

   If there are any problems with your installation, go to Alternative Methods of Installation and see if another method works. In any case, we will be glad to help you out on our Telegram chatgroup.

Windows

👨‍💻 下載並執行 windows-sfx-2021.05.16-installer.exe。

Install and run windows-sfx-2021.05.16-installer.exe

安裝完之後撳 Ctrl + `（注意係數字 1 左邊嗰粒掣，唔係單引號！），就可以睇到「粵語拼音」嘞（你可能要撳=翻頁先睇到）。

After installing the program, click Ctrl + ` (backtick) to open the Rime Menu. Choose 「粵語拼音」 (i.e. Jyutping) and you should be good to go!

macOS

👨‍💻 下載並執行 mac-2021.05.16-installer.pkg。呢個 package 會自動安裝鼠鬚管同埋「粵語拼音」輸入法。

Download and run mac-2021.05.16-installer.pkg. This package will automatically install the Rime squirrel frontend and the Jyutping input method.

安裝完之後撳重新部署，然後 Ctrl 再加 `（注意係數字 1 左邊嗰粒掣，唔係單引號！），就可以睇到「粵語拼音」嘞（你可能要撳=翻頁先睇到）。

Click 「重新部署」 from the Squirrel menu, then press Ctrl (not Cmd) + ` (backtick). Choose 「粵語拼音」 (Jyutping) from the menu and you should be good to go!

Linux

Debian (ibus)

👨‍💻 下載之後運行 ibus-install.sh。

Download and run ibus-install.sh. Follow the instructions on screen to complete the installation.

Android （第三方）

• 👨‍💻 穩定發行版：直接下載下面嘅 android-2020.09.09.apk，安裝之後即可打粵拼。（手動封裝）

Stable release (packed manually): download and install android-2020.09.09.apk.

- 註：呢個檔案係由第三方開發者封裝，方案同埋用法可能同臺機平臺唔同。
> Note: this apk is packed by a third-party developer. The schemas and software may be different from the desktop versions.
- 第一次用會自動部署，需要嘅時間比較耐，所以可能會假死，係正常現象，一般唔超過兩分鐘，如果假死超過五分鐘，請回報bug
> The program will compile the dictionaries for the first time - this may take some time. The software may freeze when this is happening, though it usually doesn't take more than 2 minutes. If this took more than 5 minutes, please submit a bug report in the Issues page. 
- 用户資料夾路徑係 `/sdcard/rimeCan` 而唔係 `/sdcard/rime` 
> The user library, where you can add your own schemas and dictionary, is located in `/sdcard/rimeCan`, not the normal `/sdcard/rime`.

• 👨‍💻 beta版 ：下載下面嘅 android-dev-2021.05.16.apk，安裝後撳部署就可以打粵拼。（系統自動更新）

beta (automatically compiled from the newest release): Download and install android-dev-2021.05.16.apk.

• ⚠️由於呢個版本係用開發中嘅apk嚟封裝，舊版android可能會用唔到。⚠️

⚠️ Since this package is created from a dev release, compatibility may be limited.

• 如果撳部署之後彈app嘅話，試下將default.yaml同埋default.custom.yaml「回復出廠設定」再手動部署過。

If the app crashes after deploying, try to revert default.yaml and default.custom.yaml to factory settings and redeploy.

其他安裝方式 Alternative Methods of Installation

Windows

下載 windows-2021.05.16-installer.zip，解壓縮，然後執行入面嘅 windows-install.bat。

Download windows-2021.05.16-installer.zip. Unzip the package and run the attached windows-install.bat. Follow the instructions on screen to complete your installation.

macOS

你可以跟住 macOS 進階安裝教程安裝。

You can also install Rime Cantonese by following the advanced guide for macOS users.

如果你識得用 Terminal，你亦都可以揀唔裝 .pkg，下載 mac*.zip，解壓縮，然後執行入面嘅 mac-install.sh。

If you are more familiar with using a Terminal, try downloading mac*.zip from Releases, unzip the package and run the attached mac-install.sh. This automates the process described in the advanced guide.
