Camera Viewports
The wall is run by several computers, each one runs a separate instance of the game. Every instance of the game will only show a cropped viewport of the whole scene. It is recommended to familiarize yourself with the wall specs documentation prior to reading this page.
The Chop script is a helpful tool that will crop the camera according to the selected zone and screen. The camera modifications only happen at runtime.
- Add the Chop.cs script to your main camera in the scene. The script is located at Assets/Scripts/Tools/Chop.cs.
- Make sure your camera is tagged as the MainCamera.
The values set in the inspector will only affect the camera in the editor. In order to apply the values to a built executable, the game must be started with the proper command line arguments.
Draw Zone Boolean Determines whether to draw a wireframe of the selected zone/display over the game view. The wireframe is only drawn in the editor, and will never be drawn at runtime. Editor Camera Camera Enum The selected viewport. At runtime, the camera will be cropped to display only this viewport. The images below show the screens associated with the Camera Enum viewport values. Note some Camera Enums may represent a range of screens (Example ZoneA_0_2 will be the first 3 MultiTactions on Zone A.)

In the image below, the user has selected the Camera Enum ZoneB_3_5 viewport. This represents the MultiTaction screens 3 to 5 on Zone B. The wireframe that is drawn in the scene tab shows all of Zone B, with the selected viewport highlighted in blue. When the game is in Play mode, the camera will automatically be cropped to show the selected viewport. Note, in the games tab you'll want to select the correct aspect ratio to match the viewport, or else things will look skewed.
