- Minimum resolution for images along the bottom interactive screens is something in the vicinity of 1920x1080 (HD), but the actual aspect ratio can vary – photos don’t need to be the uniformly the same resolution/aspect ratio. You can see examples of what this could look like in the photo below.
- If zooming in to see details is important, then the recommended minimum for everything in the exhibit would be approximately 3840x2160 (4K), but again the actual aspect ratio can vary.
- Minimum resolution for both A and B is in the 4K zone (3840x2160)
- Zone B’s aspect ratio is 1.78 (2560x1440)
- Zone A's upper section is made up of two separate screens. Each one has an aspect ratio of 1.37 (3200x2340)
- These are both oddball aspect ratios unlikely to be found in the wild!
- Images that don’t match upper those aspect ratios will have letter or pillar boxing. You can see an example of this in the Van Gogh image below – Starry Night is 4:3 and has some pillar-boxing on the edges.
- For the least amount of work (no bespoke cropping!), 4k images with common aspect ratios such as 3:2 (1.5:1) or 4:3 (1.33:1) fit with minimal letter/pillar boxing.
- Download this photoshop template for images that span the full wall.
- The resolution is different on the MultiTactions and the Upper screen, you can completely ignore the resolution of the screens when planning your image! We use magic in Unity to crop the image to span perfectly across the whole wall. Just provide one single image and make sure to use the resolution in the template.
- Images should be PNGs – no JPEGs or RAW files please!
- No hard-coded borders or letter/pillar boxing

- Minimum resolution for both A and B is in the 4K zone (3840x2160)
- If the video will be displayed across 3 MultiTactions, then the recommended resolution is 4K.
- If the video will only span one MultiTaction, then the recommended resolution is 1080px HD.
- For a Zone B gallery exhibit, we’d recommend 35-70 photos for the lower touch screens. For the upper planar screen, we recommend 1-10 photos.
- For a Zone A gallery exhibit, we’d recommend 30-180 photos. For the upper planar screens we recommend 2-20 photos.
