Map Design

Introduction

This document outlines the reasoning behind our key considerations and decisions made while designing the map for level 2.

Key Considerations

While designing the level 2 map, one of the key aspects that had to be considered was ensuring that the usability and efficiency of the game was optimal. This will allow the user to have a positive experience whilst playing the game. To do this, throughout the level, each interactive element is introduced to the user with the associated outcome displayed so that the user can learn as the play.

Level 2 Map Design

The level 2 map was designed by sketching out different obstacles and interactive elements. Arrows were drawn to visualise how the player would could move to avoid obstacles and interact with the extra elements, such as button and levers. The obstacles are shown in blue while the player movement through the map is shown in green.
