This segment will illustrate how to translate metadata and filters. You can also check how to upload translated documents or how to translate the interface.
You can create various content through the settings of the platform. They include:
- document types for your collection,
- entities to connect with your documents
- properties that shape all your content,
- thesaurus that will help you organize and filter them.
All this content can be translated easily. To do so:
- Click on Settings
- Click on Translations and click on the set of properties, dictionaries or content that you want to translate
- A list of all the phrases used in this context will appear.
- The first one is the base phrase. This can't be translated to help you remember which the context was in case you decide to modify all the languages.
- The second and subsequent phrases are related to the different language you have activated in your site.
Notes:
- The base phrase and the English phrase are usually the same, but you can freely modify the English one in case you found another phrase that suits better with your way of communication.
- Uwazi does not support the use of non latin characters on template configuration. This includes template titles, and property names. To translate any template titles or property names into non latin characters, you must first create them in Latin characters, and translate those phrases under the "translations" tab.
