Overview

Cameras are blocks that, can be linked to monitoring blocks using remote floppy disks and then viewed within a reasonable distance from the monitor.

Camera types

There are three kinds of cameras all with different view perspectives.

Toggling on/off

Right-clicking a camera block will turn the camera on or off. A green light will indicate if the camera is on and a red light indicating if the camera is off.

Remote Floppy Disks

You can use a Remote Floppy Disk when right-clicking on a camera that is "ON" to save the position of the camera. Once this is done you can turn on a Monitor and right-click the monitor with the saved camera position, this should update the monitor's screen to include an image. If there are already six images on the screen the monitor's slots are full and you will need a new monitor to add the floppy disk to. Once the floppy disk is in the camera's inventory you can access the monitor's GUI and press the view button to view the camera.

Permissions

Using a Permission Card You can edit the permission for players that can use the camera. Keep in mind, that to use the Permission Card on the camera you must be an Admin of the device.

Signal Jammers

Jammers that are turned on affect cameras in their area. Jammers will turn cameras off when a jammer is turned on. When the jammer is turned off the cameras turn back on. If the jammer is broken then the camera will return to its original state before the jammer was used. When jammers are blocking the camera's signal the connections tab in the monitor will add a tag to the camera jammed.

Camera Numbers

When viewing a camera you will see a red number on the top right position of the screen. This number lists the camera you are viewing from the monitor. The name of the camera is displayed on the top right of the screen. If there are any errors such as the camera being out of range this will show below the camera's name. You can change the camera you are viewing by pressing "A" and "D" to go between the cameras installed on the monitor.
