Milestone 1

Scenario 1 (Mobile Application)

I am Asya, a 20 year old student from Istanbul. Today a friend told me about "Memories", an online platform for sharing stories from our past. He said he liked it, so I want to try it as well. I am currently on the bus, so I cannot do much. But I am too impatient to wait until I get home. So I unlock my Android phone and check to see if there is an app for it. Turns out my friend already sent me the APK file on WhatsApp. I download the app and install it. Once I open it I am greeted by the logo. I click to sign up, and see a form. I choose a username and password, and press register. Great, now I have an account! I then log in to the app, and see a homepage with a bunch of memories. This app looks cool, but I'm a bit tired. I'll try posting or reading something when I get home to my computer.

Scenario 2 (Web Application)

Once again, this is Asya. I finally got home, so I can turn on my computer. I open my browser and go to the Memories website. I log in using my username and password, and then I go to the homepage. I pick one of the posts that are in front of me, and start reading it. It fills me with nostalgia, so I click "like" and also leave a comment saying: "Thanks for sharing this, looking forward to the rest of your memories!". I then click on the username to see their profile. I think I want to read more of their memories, so I click "follow". I am now following this person. I see that there is a search tab and click on it. I enter "university" in the text box and look at the results. I also search for memories that take place at my school, Boğaziçi University, by using location search. I then turn my attention to my own profile page, and navigate to it. It is empty and boring. So I upload a profile picture, and I write a short bio: "Hello everyone, I'm Asya and I can't wait to share my memories with all of you!". Now that my profile looks better, it is time to make my first post. I click "create story" and am greeted by a form. I enter the title: "Enrolling at Boğaziçi". I enter the text, which describes my first time coming to Boğaziçi University after taking the entrance exams. I then pick the memory date: 10.09.2018. I also enter the location by finding Boğaziçi University on the map and picking it. Then I add these tags: "college, enrollment". I also upload a picture I took of the campus that day. Everything is ready now, so I click "post". I am redirected to a new page, where I can see my memory. Amazing, I can't wait for the likes and comments! I'll come back later, but for now I'll log out and study for my exam. I click "log out" and turn off my computer.

Milestone 2 and 3

Scenario 3 (Mobile)

Once again, I am Asya, a 20 year old student at Boğaziçi University who has been using Memories recently. Today, I just got out of an exam, it went really well, and I am chatting with my friends while walking to the cafeteria. I just feel so happy for some reason. I know! I'll immortalize this moment by posting on Memories. I take out my phone while still walking, open the app, and click "Create Memory". I am greeted by an empty form. I fill in the title field: "Walking with firends on campus". Then I write what we are doing in a few short sentences. I choose the tags: friends, college, and happy. Then I click the button so the app enters my current device location. I also click the date picker to enter the current date and time directly. Finally, to really drive it in, I click the camera button, open my camera, and take a selfie with my friends to add to my post. I click on "Post" and voilà! I am redirected to a page where I can read my post. Oh boy, looks like I made a few mistakes while typing. We're almost at the cafeteria now, so I'll come back to this memory later. Lunch time!

Scenario 4 (Web)

It's Asya again. I had lunch with my friends and then took the bus home. As I was browsing the web on my computer I remembered my newest post. I went to Memories on a new tab, and I just realized that they updated the website, it looks so much better now! I've been looking at screens all day, my eyes are tired. Oh, they have a new dark mode, I'll turn it on. Looks nice! I clicked on my profile page, and then picked my most recent post. Turns out I misspelled the title, made a few typos in the text, and even entered the wrong time! It happens. I click on "Edit" which takes me to a new screen. Here, I retype my title and memory, then I pick today's date and click on "Save". Great, now everything looks fine! Anyway, I add a comment saying "fixed typos" and I go to my feed to read some new memories. Wow, there are so many! I pick one randomly and start readlng it. I like this memory, so I click on the like bytton and follow the author for more. Random memories are okay, but I'd rather pick something specific. I click on "Search" which takes me to a new page. Here I pick Boğaziçi University as the location, pick a time range between 1950 and 2023, and click "Search". Wow, so many stpries from my school! But wait, I see a new button saying "timeline". Maybe they added a new feature? I click the button and I am greeted by an actual timeline of Boğaziçi memories! I can see my memory on the right end with the picture I took, and a really old photo on the left end. I can zoom in on the pictures and see some dates, with memories from the 50s, 70s, 90s and from today. This looks so nice! I pick a memory from the timeline and start reading it. It's a bit boring so I'll skip it for now. Now that I think about it, there's another tab on top, which says "Recommendations". I click on it to see a bunch of posts, some of them from my school, some from users I follow, and a few others with familiar tags. Now I have so many memories to choose from! But I am too tired, so I suddenly fall asleep, and I dream of what new features they will come up with next time.
