Use custom audio
Starting in Grandfather Clock version 2.0, users can now add their own custom audio files as chimes. This can be done from the add-on settings page.
Select "Custom" from the "Chime sound" drop-down menu to enable custom chimes. This will automatically display the section that is used to manage the audio files for each hour. To attach an audio file to a specific hour, press the blue "Add" button next to the desired hour and select a supported audio file. Once the chime is added, you can preview it using the "Preview chime" feature.
If an hour has no audio file attached to it, no chime will be played on that hour.
Once a chime is added, a copy of the file is saved to the browser's storage. Any changes made to the audio file will not be applied to the chime in your browser. You will need to remove the chime using the grey "Remove" button and add the file again to apply the new audio changes.
Internet browsers currently only support audio in MP3 format. The audio file can be any duration, but the file must be smaller than 5MB in size.
