Testing Plan for Prototype Two
The testing goals for this round of testing is similar to the last one, with a particular focus on the organization of content and the interactions required for using the basic features.
- Site: classroom/home
- Participants: 6-8 young people from multiple cultures
- Materials:
- A laptop for testing and questionnaire
- A mobile phone/a book and a pen for note taking
- Role: Every team member as the tester to test with participants one to one
The tester gives a brief description of the application, including its intent, main functions, and target audience. Afterward, the tester tells the participant they have 4 tasks to complete and following that there will be a questionnaire and an interview.
The tester asks the participant to complete required tasks. Instructions for the participant are presented below.
- Enter the homepage
- Use the side menu and filter
- On Traditional page and Homemade page, view the first recipe
- Return to the homepage
- Find the section for comments
- Leave a comment using text and a photo
- Find the section for variation of that recipe
- View the variation of vegan style pizza
- View its comment
- Return to the page of Italian Pizza recipe
- Return to the homepage
- Find the page that displays creations recipes
- View Thai Green Curry recipe
- View the details of the family of the author of That Green Curry
- View the profile, members, and created recipes of the family
- Return to the homepage
While the participant is doing the tasks, the tester should time and observe:
- The error made by the participant
- When and where the participant hesitates
- What confuses the participant Information is recorded with the form below.
After finishing tasks, the tester asks the participant to fill in the questionnaire.
The tester asks the participant the following questions:
- Can you describe what the application is about?
- What do you find confusing in the pages you have seen?
- How easy it is to find the recipe you want in the application?
- What do you want to improve in the way of presenting content on recipe pages?
- How do you like or dislike about sharing variations from your culture or family in the traditional recipe section?
- (The same question) What about creation recipes?
- How do you like or dislike about having a group where you and your family share recipes from your family together, as is shown in the app?
- How likely would you share your stories for a traditional recipe?
