View Modes
Since Players and Game-Masters have different needs and desires when it comes to what data they need to access or edit TrekSharp supports two different views.
Different views can be toggled between using the buttons along the top of the navigation menu, next to the home button. The current view will be highlighted in blue while the other views will remain black. In reality, these views simply change the navigation menu to only show specific links in specific views.
TrekSharp loads up in the Player view, if the GM view is required it will have to be toggled each time the app is loaded.
Players only need to be able to create and manage their character. In the Player view most of the links in the navigation menu will vanish leaving only those required for creating new player characters, or managing their existing characters. Additionally players can create support characters as well as player characters since there are cases where Players can choose to use a support character over their player character.
Game-Masters need to be able to create and manage many different resources. In the GM view, all the links of the navigation menu are available. Everything is available for use; from creating player characters, support characters, npc's, ships to managing the progress of extended tasks or combat encounters.
