IO Ports Panel

This panel configures the Amiga's I/O ports: the parallel port sampler, serial port, MIDI connections, and copy protection dongle emulation.

Parallel Port

Sampler

• Selects an audio recording device connected to the parallel port for sampling. Set to "none" to disable. Only SDL audio devices are listed

Stereo sampler

• Enable stereo audio sampling instead of mono. Only available when a sampler device is selected

Serial Port

Serial port selector

• Maps the Amiga's RS-232 serial port to a host serial port. Set to "none" to disable serial port emulation

Shared

• Allow the host and the emulated Amiga to share access to the serial port simultaneously. Only available when a serial port is selected

Host RTS/CTS

• Use hardware flow control (RTS/CTS signals) from the host serial port. Only available when a serial port is selected

Direct

• Direct serial port access, bypassing the emulation layer. Only available when a serial port is selected

uaeserial.device

• Enable UAE's custom serial device driver (uaeserial.device) for the Amiga. Only available when a serial port is selected

Serial status (RTS/CTS/...)

• Emulate serial port status lines including RTS, CTS, DTR, DSR, and CD. Only available when a serial port is selected

Serial status: Ring Indicator

• Emulate the RI (Ring Indicator) serial line, used by modems. Only available when a serial port is selected

MIDI

Out

• Connects the Amiga's MIDI output to a host MIDI device. Set to "none" to disable MIDI output

In

• Connects a host MIDI input device to the Amiga's MIDI input. Only available when a MIDI output device is selected. Set to "none" to disable MIDI input

Route MIDI In to MIDI Out

• Pass MIDI input directly through to MIDI output (MIDI thru). Only available when a MIDI input device is selected

Dongle selector

• Emulates a hardware copy protection dongle for specific games and software
• none: No dongle emulated
• RoboCop 3: RoboCop 3 dongle
• Leader Board: Leader Board dongle
• B.A.T. II: B.A.T. II dongle
• Italy '90 Soccer: Italy '90 Soccer dongle
• Dames Grand-Maitre: Dames Grand-Maitre dongle
• Rugby Coach: Rugby Coach dongle
• Cricket Captain: Cricket Captain dongle
• Leviathan: Leviathan dongle
• Music Master: Music Master dongle
