Week 9 Prototype (Adobe XD)
This idea is about to develop a system to track users’ time that spends on the social media to raise the awareness of users that they spend too much time on social media and need to make the change.
The system divides the applications on the smartphone to several catalogues. (we focus on the social media applications) The user can check the time they spend on the social media and read the analysis of their usage of social media as well. Once the user spends too much time on social media applications, the system will send a notification to the user, remind the user that they spend too much time on social media. There is a function that user can lock some applications and set the time they hope the form be closed to force themselves to back to real life.
This is the sign-up and login pages of the system, and the user should have their account of the system to access their data. Furthermore, we intend to add a function about the parent control, since according to our research, young generations always with weak self-control and the service of the parent control can help young people to reduce their time on their phone.
This is the home page, and it includes different content. In the Left page, people can choose the category which can be banned using when they are operating the application. In this way, people can lock their social media application when they overuse it.
Through the line chart, user comprehends how much time usage during a day in a different category. Due to our system categorize all applications on the smartphone, which users know that they spend different specific time usage and analysis their usage. Also, they could check the specific day and month in the calendar.
