week 13 Showcase
During the showcase session, we received several suggestions from users.
1. The device could be linked with Facebook, the light could be adjusted by the application on the mobile phone.
Although the prototype achieves our goal, the device still complicates for users to use during the showcase period. Since we hide RFduino under the phone case that people cannot witness, candidates just can press the button in RFduino to adjust the different light to choose their current status. In the future, we will contribute to building an application which linked to the device and the user could more easily to command the phone case.
2. Add screen on the phone case
In our previous design, we originally expected to use Facebook to adjust the current state, that is, to display emoji on the screen, so that people will understand each other's mood more clearly. But in the coding section, we tried to connect to the screen but it didn't work. In the rest of the time, we will try to achieve this function in practising more ways to construct the screen function.
3. Design of phone case
Since in this step it is just a prototype, we didn't spend too much time on the design of the phone case may not attract users. In the future, we will focus on the graphic design of mobile phones to cater to and attract more users.
- Implement the function that the screen can display the emoji that user choose.
- Implement the function that the phone case can connect with the Facebook, only the user close to who are their Facebook Friends and in their "people you may know" list the screen will display the emoji they choose.
- Reduce the thickness of the phone case to let the phone case more portable.
- Design the phone case make it good-looking to attract people to use.
