This page provides information for a Soundcast training session, held at the PSRC office on December 13th, 2019.

Schedule

This training is focused on providing a high-level understanding of how Soundcast works and stepping through a full model scenario run. This 3-hour training will be scheduled as follows:

  • 9:00 - 9:30

Machine Access

For those using PSRC equipment to learn about the model, each laptop will be assigned a remote AWS server to use for today's training. Sticky notes will be provided for each computer with the remote machine name, user name, and password.

For those with their own machines, please connect to the office wi-fi internet and remote into your own server (or use your laptop to run the model directly if possible).

The wiki describes the basic theory and process to use PierceCast for travel modeling applications.
