There are two main methods for Peppy Player installation and configuration:
- Express. This is the easiest method which doesn't require too much time. It assumes that one of the Peppy Player disk images will be downloaded and installed.
- Expert. This method involves installation of each required component manually. This is more time consuming process but it allows to learn many different nuances of the hardware and software components used by Peppy Player.
Both methods will be described in the next chapters. It will be supposed that the following hardware is in use:
- Raspberry Pi 3
- Adafruit 3.5" PiTFT Touchscreen with resolution 480x320
- HiFiBerry Amp2 amplifier. Speakers connected to amplifier.
- IR sensor attached to GPIO pin 23 (optional)
- Rotary encoders connected to GPIO (optional)
