Peppy Configuration

project-owner edited this page Jan 21, 2018 · 11 revisions

There are three configuration files in Peppy Player:

  • config.txt. This file contains general purpose properties. It's usually updated once at the very beginning right after the Peppy Player installation and rarely changed afterwards.
  • players.txt. This file includes definitions for all supported audio players (mpd, mplayer and vlc). The proper location of the audio player should be defined in this file after player's installation.
  • current.txt. This file keeps the properties which define the current state of the player. It's updated automatically and should not be touched by user.

During startup Peppy Player reads all three files and configures player accordingly. During shutdown player stores the current state in file current.txt. Hence this file should not be changed manually as any manual changes will be overwritten during next shutdown.
