Notes

Release Schedule

The group reaffirmed its commitment to the issue April 30 freeze and June 1 release

Issue #439 - 9.6 Context Sample JSON isn't possible

As a result of the discussion around this issue, the group agreed to remove all examples (JSON and State API) from the cmi5 specification. The group agreed to create separate examples (or "best practices") document for the cmi5 repo for developers. This document will include a simple sample course structure with a complete set of statements for each of the following session types/scenarios:

  • Sample statements for Launched, Terminated Session
  • Launched, Abandoned Session
  • Normal, Scored session
  • Completed Session Then passed Session
  • Satisfied example
  • Waived Example

The examples document will also:

  • Show associated StateAPI document examples
  • Show statement examples in sequence based on AU's launched from the sample course structure

Issue #434 - Section 9.4 the Object of a Satisfied statement is not the AU

The group agreed to remove 9.4,1, 9.4.2, and change 9.4 as follows:

9.4 Object

An Object MUST be present, as specified in this section, in all statements with cmi5 defined verbs.

Except for Statements with the Satisfied verb, the Object in a cmi5 defined statement represents the AU. In Satisfied Statements, the Object represents a Block or Course.

The value of the Object's "id" property for a given AU MUST match the AU ID (activityId) defined in the launch URL except for Satisfied statements. (See Section 9.3.9)

Issue #435 - Section 9.4.1 should use "cmi5 defined statements" rather than "cmi5 verbs" #435

Pull Request issued and merged - Issue Closed

Issue #440 - launchParameters Data Type/Value Space should be "String"*

Data Type set to "String". Pull Request issued and merged - Issue Closed
